Advanced Shoulder Swirls: Next Level!

January 7, 2016 — 0

Here we go – building off the prior post Shoulder Swirls we raise the stakes and get BOTH arms moving at the same time!

Be patient, master the single arm shoulder swirl, and this double-arm sequence will surely come together. Not only will this stimulate both sides of your brain, it will get those shoulders super warm and mobile. Plus – it always makes people smile 🙂

Happy swirling!

jeff

Shoulder Swirls

January 7, 2016 — 0

Time to challenge the mind and have those shoulders pursue their fullest mobility!

This video (shot in early Dec 2015) has the arm moving through both internal and external rotation, along with a heap of forearm movement. Bottom line – always keep the palm facing up when you go through the sequence!

Over time, have both arms do the sequence in each direction, and from there – add props. I prefer something bigger than my palms, so that I can’t cheat!

For those of you who are doing strong shoulder activities such as climbing or mountain biking, this is an excellent warm-up. 5 reps each direction, each arm takes very little time.

Please share this video with any friends who may find it helpful. And keep those props off the deck!

All the best,

jeff

A Twist of the Wrist

August 27, 2015 — 1

Moving onward - exploring wrists and forearm tightness.

The second instalment in a series of hand, wrist and forearm openings!

Here is a sequence I employ for eloquent hands, nimble wrists and supple forearms. Chances are your athletic, artistic, and work pursuits have been challenging these parts of your body, so let’s give them some much needed love and awareness.

If this resonates with you, please share with your friends so that they too can stay injury free!

Cheers,

jeff
